Although this is not your typical floating market as you may have seen it in the pictures, a trip to Ayutthaya floating market is definitely worth your time. Just over an hour’s drive from Bangkok, just north of downtown Ayutthaya, you will find this great Thai market which makes for an excellent day trip. Whilst you are enjoying the excellent Thai food, you can watch a show based on Thai traditional stories, enacted on the little lake surrounded by the food stalls.
