CDC: Bangkok’s newest happening venue

Posted on 15 February 2010 by ggberry

By skipping usual things to do on Valentine’s Day, I went to the latest happenings in Bangkok to check out the furniture shops and new cafes/restaurants located in a place called “Crystal Design Center” or CDC on Ekkamai Ramindra road not far from my mom’s house. It’s stunning! and it’s a one-stop lifestyle shopping destination (as they claimed) . It’s not only just one huge area consisting of multiple buildings with shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants, but also the good chic and quality decorative center. I’d say, it’s gonna be a new place to hang out for the young designers because it’s where they come for inspiration and leisure.

I’m so happy there’s such place in Bangkok. Most of the time, I have no idea where I could find high quality decorative items but in some department stores. I noticed that many shops here are those that exhibit in BIG | BIH who only export their products. Well, the place also consists of world top brands.

I spent quite long time in Lauren (elegant accessories for bathroom), Crystal Maison (unique, cute  types of gadgets, kitchenwares, gifts, etc.), and a cafe called Cafe Gallery. I have put a few pictures of CDC exteriors and atmosphere together with some from Crystal Maison and Cafe Gallery where I enjoyed (walking, looking around, and eating) most. Have a look at their website: www.crystaldesigncenter.com
